The book "A Game of Thrones" is the first book in "A Song of Ice and Fire", a series of fantasy novels written by George R. R. Martin. The book takes place in a medieval world, Westeros, where kings, queens, lords and ladies are on their journey to find power. Ned Stark, the Warden of The North, travells to the South to become the Hand of the King. Then he discovers that The Seven Kingdoms of Westeros face collapse. All over Westeros the noble Houses are trying to take power.The descentants of House Tragaryen are now in Essos, after the ruination of their House, and they are trying to return to Westeros and take back their fathers thrown. It is also a TV series.
